Moves At The Rink

Happy Monday Friends!
Time for the mid-month Sketch Challenge at
I chose to scrapbook a memory of Liam and
his Grandparents when they came to watch
one of his games last season.

I stayed pretty close to the sketch, using a lot of stars
and choosing to use a 5x7 photo in lieu of 2 smaller
photos. Minimal supplies for this layout since
I used the verbiage in the Sandylion patterned paper
for the title, some mists, Spiegel Mom Scraps Sequins
and a Accent Scrapbooking Flair.

We hope you play along with us this month we have 3 sponsors!
is offering a $25 Gift Certificate to a lucky participant.
(I used their chipboard star behind the photo in my layout)

has a paper stack for another winner to choose from their product line.

And the final sponsor this month is scrapbooking guru
she has a free class for our 3rd lucky participant :)

for Design Team Inspiration and also have a
look at our Guest Designer from Japan,
her take on the sketch is beautiful!

Saturday Sketch Inspiration

Its been VERY cold this week in Yellowknife.
I also managed to become bed ridden for a day
because of a little Nasty 36 hour flu bug,
I felt like someone took a baseball bat to my entire body!
Thank goodness it didn't linger too long.

Sean really wanted me to go to the cabin
but its really to cold to do anything there
so he went without me so I could stay home
and scrapbook - BLISS!

We received these great photos with a Christmas Card
from the Feldbergs who live in Fernie... since we are
going to visit them at the end of January I thought I
would scrapbook the photos and give them back to them framed!

I used the January Sketch posted in the
If you love using SMS sequins you should join the group!

Next I decided that I should start the year off with my usual
Scrapbooking Goal to always participate in Creative Scrapbooker's
Monthly Sketchy Challenge. Here is the Jan 2018 Sketch & my layout!
You'll notice that I did rotate the sketch to the right for this layout.

Hope your finding time to stay cozy and do some scrapbooking!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2018!
I'm very excited to share my January 1st
Design Team Layout for Stuck?! Sketches

When Laura posted this sketch I thought it was going
to be a touch challenge. Luckily I had the perfect piece of
Echo Park Paper from the "Happy Days" Collection
A diamond pattern and then grid paper was on the reverse side,
I also had several of the other papers left from the collection.

I cut out the pattern from the diamond paper just like the sketch,
then selected some photos that I developed of a friends
50th Birthday ski trip to Sun Peaks a couple years ago.

I had everything ready to go
but then decided to flip the sketch and the mountains appeared
and so did the black diamond, blue and green runs!

I am SO Pleased with how this layout turned out!

Here is Laura's sketch for the Jan 1 Challenge

A big thank you to this challenges 2 sponsors;
Scrapmatts is offering 2 large pieces of chipboard to a lucky participant
as well as Spiegel Mom Scraps who are treating another
lucky participant to 3 sequin packs as sine Maya Arts Burlap this month!
As you can see, my DT layout did include a sequin collection from SMS!

Please check out the Stuck?! sketches Blog for all the
DT layouts, which are amazing!

Happy New Year!
